AZ-1000-ECB

AZ-1000-ECB Black Thermal Control, Electrically Conductive Paint / Coating

AZ-1000-ECB is a high absorptance electrically conductive inorganic black thermal control paint developed for use on spacecraft and satellite surfaces exposed to the deleterious effects of the space environment. AZ-1000-ECB is designed to be deposited onto large complex surfaces with minimal difficulty or environmental impact to provide a coating that maintains optical and electrical properties when exposed to the space environment. This thermal control coating possesses several orders of magnitude greater electrical conductivity than currently available thermal control coatings while providing atomic oxygen protection and surface charge dissipation for spacecraft applications.

This spacecraft / satellite paint has been thoroughly tested in space, having been flown on the Optical Properties Monitor (OPM), the MIR MEEP POSA-I experiment and the Materials International Space Station Experiment (MISSE).
